Questo esilarante, sottile, profondo monologo, è talmente ricco di personaggi da sembrare una commedia.
La particolarità è che tutti questi personaggi, sono interpretati da un unico attore in una sorta di girandola da
trasformista della parola e della voce. Dunque, una straordinaria prova d’attore.
O meglio, una grande opportunità.
É un testo nel quale si ride tanto, si fanno le dovute riflessioni sui condizionamenti familiari e si capisce come
qualsiasi (ri)nascita, sia provvidenziale, auspicabile o addirittura necessaria, anche quando si tratta di un coming-out
al contrario. Quello di Guillaume, il protagonista della storia.
L’equivoco infatti, si crea già nel titolo, non tanto in quello cinematografico, “Tutto sua Madre”, ma nell’originale
teatrale, Les garçon et Guillaume, à table, perché i garcons, cioè i ragazzi, che altro non sono se non i fratelli di
Guillaume, sono maschi, belli, e testosteronici, mentre lui, Guillaume è l’esatto contrario.
Inviso al padre e ai fratelli, si ritroverà così ad imitare e a far vivere tutte le donne che ha immaginato o conosciuto,
diventando via via la Principessa Sissi, l’Arciduchessa Sofia, una perfetta ballerina andalusa, sua nonna, sua zia.
Insomma ogni donna che osserva o che ammira.
Ma più di ogni altra cosa, si trova a compiacere e a idolatrare sua madre, alla quale vuole dimostrare di essere
unico. In questa perenne ricerca, Guillaume prova lui stesso a diventare la madre in ogni sua sfumatura, in ogni sua
caratteristica; per questo la famiglia lo considera effeminato.
Nonostante trucchi e moine, crisi d’identità, principesse e svolazzi, esilaranti malintesi, la sua vera natura emergerà
in una sorta, appunto, di coming-out all’incontrario. La storia prenderà una piega bizzarra e imprevedibile, che lo
condurrà finalmente ad incontrare una ragazza, la “sua” ragazza con cui scoprire finalmente la possibilità di avere
un amore…diverso. E reale, quello che lui ha sempre desiderato.
Lo spettacolo è soprattutto la storia di un ragazzo e poi di un uomo che, attraverso peripezie e avventure, cerca
di affermare la propria identità sessuale in una famiglia che, invece, lo aveva frettolosamente catalogato come
omosessuale.
Scritto, e rappresentato nel 2012 da Guillaume Gallienne, attore e regista di punta della Comédie Française, lo spettacolo
ha avuto a Parigi uno straordinario successo, una quantità enorme di repliche e successivamente, con il titolo “Tutto sua
madre”, una versione cinematografica del 2014 che ha fatto man bassa di César.
È questa la prima volta in assoluto che lo spettacolo viene tradotto e presentato in Italia con una produzione che si avvale
